Our faculty assess the impacts of historic and current changes in climate and help to predict the profound effects that will occur as climate change intensifies in the future. Their research delves into a wide range of issues, from forest mortality and wildfires to dwindling water supplies and land use change. They use this knowledge to engage with natural resource professionals to develop best practices for assessing risk and vulnerabilities to climate change’s impacts. In addition, our faculty develop flexible approaches that decision-makers can use to boost the resilience of managed lands and ensure the sustainability of natural resources and society for generations to come.
